My name is Barry Hutcherson, and I grew up in Finger, TN. I am the fourth and youngest child of Kenneth and Betty (Johnson) Hutcherson, born in Henderson, TN. In 1984, I married Sherry Maness, and together we raised two daughters, Jennifer Franzen and Hayley Meek. We celebrated our 40th anniversary this year. We are proud grandparents to four grandchildren: Khloe and Karson Franzen, and Palmer and Piper Meek.

Over the years, I have served in various roles, including my current position as Mayor of Chester County. I am involved with the Southwest Tennessee Development District and the Southwest Human Resource Agency Boards, and I currently serve as Regional Vice President of the Association of County Mayors. Former positions I have held include Chairman of the Republican Party, President of the Lions Club, and coach of Dixie Youth softball and baseball.
I owned a business, Hutcherson Services, which specialized in directional boring for underground utilities. I graduated from the Technology School of Jackson, now known as TCAT. Additionally, I have worked as an award-winning insurance agent and manager, former instructor of Life Underwriter I and II, and I am also a licensed plumber and electrician. On weekends, I enjoy cooking at Snookum’s Steakhouse, which my wife, Sherry, and I co-founded in 1994 with my wife’s parents, Buel “Snookum” Maness and the late Betty Maness.
